Founded by two seasoned travel industry veterans, our company represents a wealth of global expertise accumulated over four decades. These visionary leaders have traversed the world’s travel landscapes, gaining profound insights across diverse markets, including the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. Their comprehensive background spans multiple sectors of the travel ecosystem—from managing leisure and corporate travel agencies to navigating airline operations’ complexities and developing outbound and inbound tour experiences.
ABOUT Nayaz Noor, CEO
Nayaz, a distinguished Wharton School of Business alumnus, brings a rich tapestry of international travel industry experience. His professional journey includes stints in India and the Middle East and a robust 15-year tenure in the United States, where he worked extensively with retail travel agencies and wholesale tour operators, including Gate 1 Travel and Gil Travel.
Expanding his entrepreneurial vision, Nayaz established a B2B wholesale agency in India and spent seven years promoting global destinations as an outbound tour operator. During this period, he also represented several international tourism products and entities, further broadening his industry network.
In 2013, Nayaz and Suchitra embarked on a new chapter, migrating to Australia and founding Safir Tours Pty Ltd. Over the next 12 years, the company distinguished itself in the market through unwavering reliability and professional excellence. Most recently, Safir Tours has undergone a strategic rebranding, now under the name 39 Degrees South—a testament to their continued evolution and commitment to providing exceptional travel experiences.

With an illustrious career spanning over 40 years, Suchitra has established herself as a formidable professional in the global travel industry. Her extensive experience includes pivotal roles with renowned organisations such as TWA, British Airways, American Express, Carlson Wagon Lit, and Maritz, where she consistently distinguished herself through exceptional sales and customer service expertise.
Her professional journey has been global, encompassing corporate travel agencies in the United States, a B2B tour company in India, and now her current operations in Australia, serving travel agents worldwide. This remarkable international trajectory has been more than a career—it’s been a masterclass in understanding diverse travel cultures and customer needs.
Suchitra’s unique perspective, cultivated across three continents, has been instrumental in the success of 39 Degrees South. Her nuanced understanding of Western and Eastern travellers’ preferences and expectations has been a strategic advantage, enabling her to bridge cultural gaps and deliver exceptional travel experiences.
